Some undergraduates of a local province aspiring to be leaders despite their financial incapabilities thought of creating a brotherhood of peace and friendship, to help each other nurture their knowledge, talents and skills. They do not have sufficient time, financial means in joining a fraternity that was already established. They have thought of having a fraternitiy of their own. Through research over the internet and from understanding other fraternities, and making sure that there are no equal greek letters that would conflict their greek letter organization. Kappa Sigma Phi at a local province was founded. Kappa stands for courage and being gentlemen, Sigma stands for the respect to one another, Phi stands for the love of our country, The Philippines.
Rasputen decided to found Kappa Sigma Phi, distinct and separate with other greek fraternities. On January 03, 2010, Kappa Sigma Phi-Philippines was founded and immediately created a website to let know about the founding of Kappa Sigma Phi and its existence.. This is to let know the existence of the Kappa, the Sigma and the Phi.
